From love at first sight to betrayal

Gerard Pique’s infidelity for several years
On November 17, 2022, Gerard Piqué was seen with a young woman, Clara Chía Martí, leaving a Japanese restaurant in Spain. The latter, aged 23, is a public relations student. She is also employed by Kosmos, the footballer’s television production company.

On January 6, 2023, Page Six revealed that the singer’s fans had spotted Clara Chía Martí’s face in a Zoom interview with the player from 2021. The video was captured in the family home, during Shakira’s absence. At that time, the former partners were supposed to be “happy together,” the source told the American people site.
Shakira would have been “devastated to learn that this woman clearly felt at home in the house they shared with their children.” The affair of the father of her children would have probably lasted “for much longer than she imagined”.
According to an article by the Spanish channel Telecinco published in December 2022, it is a pot of jam that would have allowed Shakira to unmask her unfaithful husband. The interpreter of Hips don’t lie would have quickly noticed that the jars of jam present in their fridge were emptying at a crazy speed, even though the star only rarely consumes it, just like her husband Gérard Piqué who, for his part, is used to eating it with moderation.
Shakira allegedly later hired a private detective, thinking someone else was consuming their jam. And this one would have confirmed the link of the former sportsman.

A painful breakup for Shakira
In an interview with the American edition of the magazine She on Wednesday September 21, 2022, and whose singer was on the cover, Shakira made many confidences about her separation. “I feel like this is all just a bad dream and I’m going to wake up at some point. But no, it’s real,” she said sadly.
The singer-songwriter, in disarray, said her “disappointment to see something so sacred and so special (…) turn into something vulgar and devalued by the media”. The singer described this complicated period as “the darkest hour of [sa] life”.
On January 1, 2023, she posted a poetic and resilient message, in reference to this separation, on her Instagram account.

An explicit “revenge song”
Since her breakup, Shakira has performed several songs that evoke the pain of loving. In Te Felicito, released in April 2022, the woman sings the following lyrics: “To complete you, I broke into pieces. Footballer’s counterattack
Targeted by the song of his ex-spouse, Gérard Piqué chose to respond with humor and disdain. Friday January 13, 2023, during a live broadcast on the streaming platform Twitch, the latter wore a Casio watch on his wrist. He announced that he had signed a partnership with the brand for the Kings League – a football competition created by himself and played at seven.
“This watch is for life,” he said at the show’s microphone. Two days later, the athlete arrived in the parking lot of the headquarters of his company Kosmos at the wheel of a Twingo. According to information from the Spanish journalist Marc Leirado published on Twitter on January 12, 2023, on the balcony of her terrace, Shakira hung the puppet of a black witch. Despite their media heartbreak, Shakira and Gerard Pique expressed the wish to protect their children from the conflict.
“We have signed an agreement which guarantees the well-being of our children and which will be ratified in court, within the framework of a simply formal procedure”, he said in their press release in 2022.
