Grammy Awards: Beyoncé nominated in nine categories explodes a new record

Beyoncé garnered the highest number of nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards on Tuesday, the ceremony of which will be held on February 5 in Los Angeles. Nominated in nine categories, the singer ranks ahead of rapper Kendrick Lamar, British pop diva Adele, and Brandi Carlile.

Imperial Queen B. With her album with dance, house and disco accents released in July, “Renaissance”, Beyoncé has this November 14 collected the largest number of nominations for the Grammy Awards 2023.

With her nine nominations, notably in the flagship categories of album, song and recording of the year, the 41-year-old singer places herself ahead of Californian rapper Kendrick Lamar, who gets eight, then Adele and the pop, rock and country singer Brandi Carlile, who collect seven. Harry Styles, Mary J. Blige, DJ Khaled and Future follow closely with six nominations in their pocket.

With this new wave of nominations, Queen B, who was already since this year the most awarded female artist at the Grammys with 28 trophies collected throughout her career, joins and even surpasses her husband, rapper Jay-Z, at the top of the most nominated artists of all time, with 88 nominations (compared to 83 for Monsieur). These Grammys 2023 will also allow him to take his “revenge” on Adele, who to his detriment had in 2017 crushed the competition in the main categories, winning five awards with his album “25”.
