Adele de Glaubitz (1797-1858)

Adèle de Glaubitz was born in the castle of Kogenheim in Alsace. Touched by the misery that surrounded her, she founded a work in 1835 with the aim of instructing and educating destitute young girls.

The success being growing, she then decided to perpetuate her idea by attaching it to a religious community. Thus in 1848, Adèle de Glaubitz pronounced her vows and established in the same spirit the Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross. In 1992, the congregation in turn transmitted the work of its founder to the association. In his homage, it will bear his name: Adèle de Glaubitz.
